The All-Star Game is about just having a good ol' time, celebrating basketball and letting your personality show. Does anyone encapsulate that better than he Eastern Conference's starting center?

Dwight Howard was made for this stage.

"It's a great honor and I thank the fans for voting for me," said Howard, in his seventh year with the Orlando Magic and headed to his fifth All-Star Game. "It means a lot to be to be a guy that the fans voted for. It's the best when the fans are voting for you. That's the highest praise. The All-Star Game is still a lot of fun, and I always like being around the other guys."

The NBA's 60th All-Star Game is being broadcast live Feb. 20 from Staples Center in Los Angeles on TNT and ESPN Radio.

Superman, aka Howard, is suiting up with some familiar faces that happen to share his Sunshine State. Miami teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, both starters last year, once again collected enough fan love for another first-team showing.

James, of course, is representing the Heat for the first time and going to the All-Star Game for the seventh. It's probably a good idea to pencil at least a half-dozen more appearances for James, who's third in the league in scoring (25.9) and 12th in assists (7.2).

The other SuperFriend in the East lineup, D-Wade, is also going for the seventh time and looking to repeat his Dallas triumph as MVP. LeBron joining Miami hasn't hurt Wade's production. The longest-tenured Heater also sits in the top five in scoring, checking in two spots below James and pouring in 25.1 per night.

Joining the three holdovers are newcomers Derrick Rose (Chicago) and Amar'e Stoudemire (New York). Stoudemire is no stranger to the All-Star Game, having made six previous trips from his run in Phoenix. This is his first as a member of the resurgent Knicks and it's a starting gig to boot.

"Representing New York at the NBA All-Star Game is a huge honor for me," Stoudemire said. "If it wasn't for the support of the most loyal fans in the world, I wouldn't be in this position today."

In addition to leading moribund New York back into the postseason mix, Stoudemire has proven he can thrive outside of the desert and under the bright lights of Broadway. And without all those screen-and-roll passes from Steve Nash.

"Being named as an NBA All-Star starter means that the fans and coaches recognize the work I am putting in on and off of the court to help the New York Knicks win basketball games," Stoudemire added. "For that, I am truly grateful."

Rose came on strong in the voting to leapfrog fellow point guard Rajon Rondo of Boston. Rose has earned his second All-Star selection and first career start. The Bulls' playmaker has carried the team through injuries to Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah, and has Chicago running away with the Central Division.

Durant scores career-high 47 in OT win

Minnesota for the eighth straight time. But it was Durant who carried the load,
scoring 16 straight points for the Thunder in the fourth quarter of a thrilling
back-and-forth game.

“All I can say is Durant is incredible,” Love said, a glazed look in his
eye. “He’s incredible.”

Durant’s 47 points tied Clippers star Blake Griffin(notes) for the highest total in
the NBA this season and came from every spot on the floor. He hit four
3-pointers, 13-of-14 free throws and drilled a 15-foot, step-back jumper over

Corey Brewer(notes) with 28 seconds left in overtime that held up as the game winner.

“I hope I don’t ever take it for granted because that’s pretty
impressive,” Thunder center Nick Collison(notes) said. “To be able to kind of carry
us like that, we needed every one of those.”

Michael Beasley(notes) had 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the
Timberwolves, who had a chance to win the game in the final 7 seconds. But Luke
Ridnour
(notes)
rushed a 3-pointer after a missed free throw by Brewer and the Thunder
tracked down the loose ball to seal it.

The Northwest Division-leading Thunder had to work for this one against a
team that has lost 18 straight division games. The game featured eight lead
changes in the final 3 1/2 minutes of regulation, then was tied twice more in
overtime.

It was another tough loss for Love and the Timberwolves, who had a chance to
win it in regulation. But Love’s short hook shot went halfway down before
rattling out, sending the game to overtime.

“When it left my hand, I said, ‘That thing’s in,”’ Love said. “I was
about to run back to the locker room right away. That thing went in and out.”

Durant got off to a bit of a slow start while being pestered by Brewer,
Minnesota’s best perimeter defender. He missed nine of his first 14 shots, but
offset that by getting to the free throw line 10 times.

When Brewer picked up his fourth foul midway through the third quarter,
Durant flourished with the extra space. He scored eight points in the final 53
seconds of the period, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Durant struck a pose as the shot swished through, leaving his shooting hand
up for posterity and then putting his hands on his hips as if to say, “Don’t
worry guys, I got this.” He had 16 points and eight rebounds in a dominating
third quarter that gave Oklahoma City a four-point lead heading into the fourth.

“I was a little upset with myself with the first half, the shots I was
missing,” Durant said. “The second half I was able to get to where I wanted
to, get to the free throw line. I think my rebounding sparked me a little bit.
So I was able to get some rebounds and push it up and get some easy points.”

The young Wolves didn’t go away, though, taking a 97-94 lead on a 3-pointer
by Love with 4:30 to play.

But each time the Wolves took a lead down the stretch, Durant came up with a
huge shot to answer. First a 3-pointer to tie it, then two free throws, then a
silky smooth jumper from the wing for good measure.

Love brought the crowd to its feet when he blew by Green for a dunk, but
Durant responded again, blowing by Wes Johnson(notes) for a dunk, converting the
three-point play for a 104-103 lead.

“It’s impossible to stop him,” Wolves forward Anthony Tolliver(notes) said.

Russell Westbrook(notes) had an off night for the Thunder, scoring 16 points on
7-for-19 shooting with six turnovers. But his driving hoop with 26 seconds left
gave Oklahoma City a 108-107.

Ridnour scored on a twisting layup on the other end to take back the lead,
but the 92 percent free throw shooter missed a freebie and Green scored to tie
it at 110 with 4 seconds to go in regulation.

The Timberwolves (10-35) look to Oklahoma City and see hope. Four years ago,
the Thunder won 20 games in their final season in Seattle. Three years ago they
went 23-59. But they landed Durant, Green and Westbrook in two drafts and now
are one of the up-and-coming teams in the Western Conference.

The Thunder won 50 games last season and have positioned themselves as a
legitimate challenger to the Lakers and Spurs, two teams that aren’t getting any
younger.

“They are exactly where we were,” Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. “We
were in a lot of close games. The year we won 23 games, that’s what the learning
is all about. You’re learning. You’re not losing. Unfortunately, the record says
you lost the game, but they’re learning how to win and they will figure it
out.”

NOTES: Durant missed a technical free throw in the fourth quarter, snapping
a string of 45 straight makes for him at the line. … In the second quarter,
Love and Darko Milicic(notes) were fighting for the same rebound, and Love relented. He
then looked at the bench and winked, his charity done for the day. … Love had
21 points and 11 rebounds in the second half, the 22nd time he had a
double-double in one half. Only 10 players in the NBA have 21 or more
double-doubles for an entire game this season.

The Rookie Blake Griffin

Well you saw it right this kid is just a rookie in the court of NBA, a fresh fish that has been caught on the net. What about Blake Griffin? What about him?

See the stats

Season Averages

2010-11 Statistics

PPG RPG APG EFF
22.8 12.90 3.5 + 26.30

Most of the game he conquered a double-double performance.

This kid doesn't like to play basketball without slamming the ball down the rim.

He's not a typical player just to dribble, do jump shots or do a post move and just hook the ball up, NO that is not what Blake Griffin do!

When he got the ball if you were his defender you'll be famous because when he make a move be sure you'll get caught on his top plays everytime he play. :)

Actually I'm not reall a big fan Blake Griffin I was just amazed on how he played on the court and if you ever watched that last game he had on LA Lakers.

Well look what Blake Griffin did to Lamar Odom, slammed him face to face pissed him off then Lamar Odom tries to provoke him but Blake Griffin is not scared instead he replied gave cheap shots and the result Lamar Odom was thrown out.

A rookie like Blake Griffin is rare to find in the NBA and the skills he's showing is just way off from the others.

He soars in the air like their is a spring in his shoes he's just amazing.

After watching his best plays that gives me an interest to watch him everytime LA Clippers has a game.

You don't believe me watch his top 10 plays below. By the way, comments are free so don't be shy to post comments. FLAMING is forbidden here!

Lush hackers cash in on stolen cards

Cyber thieves are cashing in after stealing credit cards in a hack attack on the website of cosmetics firm Lush.

The online shop was shut down on 21 January and its home page replaced with a message revealing the attack.

Lush said anyone who placed an online order between 4 October and 20 January should contact their bank in case their card details had been compromised.

Many Lush customers have reported that their cards have been used fraudulently.

Comments posted on the Facebook page of Lush revealedthat many customers were angry about the security lapse that may have spanned four months.
Many said they had lost money or had to cancel cards in case they were about to be abused. Some said Lush should have noticed the problem earlier and called for compensation for the money they have lost.

Security expert Rik Ferguson from Trend Micro said the sums of money the hackers were taking could be significant.

"I was initially alerted to the attack by one of my own friends whose card, along with her husband's, have subsequently been used to make fraudulent purchases totalling almost £6000 from well-known online retailers,"wrote Mr Ferguson on the Trend Micro blog.

"The risk of these stolen card numbers being used by criminals has already moved from the theoretical to reality," he said.

Hilary Jones, ethical director at Lush, said the firm became aware of problems on Christmas day when hackers were discovered to have penetrated the site.

The site was taken down and did little trade between Christmas and New Year while Lush investigated to see if the hackers were merely mischievous or out to make money.

It became obvious that the hackers were after cash as European customers began reporting small purchases made with credit cards that had been used on Lush and other web shops.

Ms Jones said the small transactions were "test" purchases that thieves do to see if a stolen credit card is still live.

She said that when it became obvious that a lot of test purchases were being made and the Lush site was the key, the company shut down its store and told customers what had happened.

"As an ethical company we could not keep that information to ourselves," said Ms Jones. "We had to tell a huge raft of customers."

The four-month window that people needed to check was a safeguard to ensure all at-risk customers were covered, she said. The site was not vulnerable throughout that time.

"We really want to make sure we cover all possibilities," said Ms Jones. "We wanted to tell more customers than less."

The Lush website has been "retired" and a new online shop is set to appear in a few days but will initially only accept payment through Paypal.

Ms Jones said a forensic investigation was underway to find out how the thieves broke into the site.

Hack attack

At the same time,Trapster in the US has reported that it too has been hit by hackers.

The site, which helps people avoid speed cameras and road hazards, issued a warning to its 10 million users saying their e-mail addresses and passwords may be in the hands of attackers.

It said the attackers breached the site once and managed to get away with the data. Trapster's warning triggered a similar one by Twitter advising people to change their password and avoid using the same one on different sites.

The attack could mean that accounts on other sites get taken over by spammers and used to send junk mail.

In mid-December Gawker Media's revelation that its servers had been hacked and 1.3 million accounts had been compromised gave rise to warnings from Yahoo, Twitter, LinkedIn and World of Warcraft maker Blizzard asking people to change login details.
